While Choate didn't outright say Jones will be the starter for Nevada against San Diego State, his words certainly imply that the 6-foot-3 freshman appears set to be the guy moving forward. Jones stepped in against Fresno State last week and looked impressive, completing 11-of-15 passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns with an interception. While Choate did say multiple guys would play against the Aztecs, Jones seems to be the heir apparent for the starting gig.
