Aaron Horne

Horne will battle Josh Lenz for the right to be atop the depth chart in Ames this fall. The two receivers performed similarly in 2011, though Lenz actually had one more reception for 79 more yards. Horne’s 38 receptions and 431 yards each placed third on the Cyclones, but with Darius Reynolds graduated, he could start the season as the No. 1 Cyclone receiver if he impresses in training camp. In a run-heavy and marginally talented Iowa State offense, though, it would surprise if Horne made a noticeable impact outside of Big 12-only leagues.
