Winchester announced Friday via his personal Instagram account that he'll transfer to Central Connecticut State for the 2019 season.
ANALYSIS
After redshirting in 2015 in his inaugural campaign at Georgia State, Winchester appeared in 18 games and made three starts for the Panthers over the past three seasons. With Dan Ellington set to top the depth chart at quarterback again in 2019, Winchester elected to move to a FCS school, where he'll be eligible to compete immediately and have the chance to vie for a starting role. During his time at Georgia State, Winchester completed 61 of 111 attempts (55 percent) for five touchdowns and four interceptions while adding 405 yards and three scores on the ground.
