Cordy went to head coach Dino Babers and told him he won't play in the slot, Stephen Bailey of The Syracuse Post-Standard reports.
ANALYSIS
The coach didn't seem to have an issue with Cordy's assessment, saying "We don't make guys play positions they don't want to play." While no reason was given why Cordy doesn't want to line up at the slot, his self-limitation to the outside seems to take away from chances he might have otherwise gathered on the inside. However, it didn't seem as if Cordy was going to see too many opportunities at any position this year, so his refusal to play the slot doesn't have too much of a negative impact on his fantasy value.
