Grupe announced Thursday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to Notre Dame, joining the program as a transfer from Arkansas State.

Just four days after placing his name in the portal, Grupe found a new landing spot in the Power Five ranks for his sixth and final year of eligibility. Coming off a redshirt senior season at Arkansas State in which he converted 20 of 25 field-goal tries and 31 of 33 extra-point attempts, Grupe should be viewed as the favorite to replace outgoing fifth-year senior Jonathan Doerer as Notre Dame's kicker in 2022.
