Brian Fields

Along with Tevin Drake, Fields was a very pleasant surprise for Western Michigan last year, bolting for 362 yards and three scores on just 56 carries (6.5 yards per carry). Unfortunately for Fields, Drake appears to be the more favored between the two going forward after averaging an astonishing 10.1 yards per carry last year. But there should be enough room for Fields to be worth owning in MAC-only leagues.

Fields hasn't done a thing for Western Michigan, but his top competition at the running back spot, Aaron Winchester, has been rather unproductive during his two years on the team. If Winchester falters, Fields could inherit the bulk of the Western Michigan rushing attack. How useful he'll be is a complete unknown.
