No longer with program
November 9, 2020
Southern Mississippi head coach Tim Billings said Monday that Ragsdale is no longer with the program, Andrew Abadie of Pinebelt Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Ragsdale opened the season atop Southern Miss' depth chart at running back, but he's seemingly been passed up in the pecking order by true freshman Frank Gore. After rushing for 81 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries over the Golden Eagles' first three games, Ragsdale didn't see any action in the team's subsequent four contests. He'll now opt out for the remainder of the season and look to head elsewhere in 2021, when he'll have two years of eligibility left.
