Smythe had his best game of the 2017 season with three catches for 52 yards and one touchdown in the Irish's 35-14 victory over North Carolina State last Saturday.
ANALYSIS
The senior tight end caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Brandon Wimbush against the Wolfpack. It was his first touchdown catch of 2017. Smythe is having his best season in four years for Notre Dame with 10 catches for 182 yards. Smythe will look to build on this game on Saturday, but it will be against a tough Wake Forest pass defense.
