Lonergan looked lost in Week 1, and if your starting quarterback looks lost against UMass, he may not be of Big Ten caliber. The gunslinger threw three interceptions, two of which were extremely ugly throws. He also lost a fumble against the Minutemen, meaning he accounted for four turnovers in Week 1. That's simply not winning football, and so the Scarlet Knights turning to Surace for Week 2 isn't a surprise.
