Flanders saw five more carries than incumbent starter D'Angelo Brewer (23), but Brewer was more efficient with an average of 7.8 yards per carry to Flanders' 6.5. Still, Flanders has been ruthless the past month and has seemingly forced his way into the lead role at Tulsa's running back spot, even if Brewer might earn a relatively even split of the carries. Both players are in position to produce, though perhaps this week's game against Navy will only leave room for one.
