Records carries for second straight week
Thomas took 10 carries for 74 yards and caught his sole target for a five yard gain in Friday's narrow lose to USF.
ANALYSIS
With the Tulsa running back corps depleted last week with an injury to Shamari Brooks and this week with Corey Taylor (ankle), Thomas has been the beneficiary as he's taken over the backup role in both games. After not seeing the field over the first four weeks of the season, he has 25 carries for 120 yards over the last two games. While that's probably not enough to earn much more playing time when Taylor returns, it does give an impressive measure of the depth Tulsa has at the position. His value next week against Arkansas will depend directly on Taylor and his availability.
