Backup on Week 1 chart
Lewis (Achilles) is listed as a backup tight end on Rutgers' Week 1 contest at Michigan State, Bobby Deren of 247Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Lewis last saw the field in 2017 as a quarterback but has the athleticism to move positions. He's undersized for the position at just 6-foot-3 but should serve as depth and could see the field on occasion this season.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Lewis received his first significant run under center in Week 3 against Morgan State, putting his mobility on full display with 11 carries for 58 yards and four touchdowns. Although he completed both of his attempts in that game as well, that can't be said for his appearances the rest of the way. Lewis finished the season with a dreadful 36.8 completion percentage on 38 pass attempts for 167 yards and a 2:4 TD:INT ratio. While he's not out of the running to start for Rutgers in Week 1, signs following spring ball point to freshman Artur Sitkowski sitting in the driver's seat for the job heading into the fall.
