2023 Fantasy Outlook
To start the 2022 season, Otoviano mostly worked as a kick returner. Then, late in the year, the Owls worked him back into the rotation on the ground. Over the final seven games of the season he carried the ball 65 times for 368 yards. That’s not too shabby. However, Cameron Montgomery and Ari Broussard both had over 90 carries last year, and they are both back. Otoviano is a redshirt senior. He’s been around the Owls program since 2019. Last year was the first time he had a significant role in the run game, and he was still the third back. There is no reason to think this is the season it all turns around. Plus, the Owls brought in JT Daniels to be the new starting quarterback. You would assume that they might want to focus on the passing game as a result, especially with how lackluster the run game was for the team in 2022. Read Past Outlooks

Totals over 100 yards

ANALYSIS
Otoviano got involved late in the season, and managed to rush for over 90 yards in two of Rice's final three games. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough for Rice to get its sixth win.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Otoviano staked his claim to be the top back for the Owls in the final game of 2018 when he rushed for 224 yards and two touchdowns. While he was used sparingly as a true freshman, he showed a ton of potential when he did take the field. In particular, Otoviano rushed for 5.6 yards per carry. Nahshon Ellerbe is back and healthy, but Otoviano is definitely the Rice running back with the highest upside. If anybody is going to break out for this team in 2019, its the sophomore running back out of Arlington.
