Kyle Shurmur

The revolving door at quarterback seems to have stopped with Shurmur, though he wasn't exactly elite during his time under center in 2016 for Vanderbilt. Shurmur completed just 54.4-percent of his passes for 2,409 yards, nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions. The high point for Shurmur was a 416-yard outburst in a late-season win over Tennessee, which got the Commodores bowl-eligible. On the downside, he tossed three interceptions in an ugly 41-17 loss to NC State in the Liberty Bowl. The 6-foot-4 junior doesn't seem to have much in the way of competition this season, though a brutal five-game SEC stretch beginning with Alabama on September 23rd could spell trouble.
