Runs for three scores
September 14, 2025
Szarka was 6-for-14 passing for 67 yards and an interception during Saturday's 49-30 defeat to Utah State. He also had 12 rushes for 40 yards with three touchdowns.
ANALYSIS
After Josh Johnson struggled early, Szarka took over under center to open the second quarter and shared work with Johnson for the remainder of the game. While he didn't do much through the air, there were some positives to take away from the sophomore's performance, particularly his performance running the ball. Szarka certainly made a solid case to start under center next week against Boise State.
