Enters transfer portal
Dixon entered the transfer portal Friday, Chris Hummer of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dixon transferred to Tennessee from West Virginia at the beginning of August, but his stay in Knoxville lasted just three weeks. He also previously spent four years at Clemson, compiling 1,420 yards and 13 touchdowns on 238 total touches. The 5-foot-10 running back dealt with an ankle injury at the beginning of training camp but appears to be healthy and will look to latch onto a new program soon, though he may have a difficult time carving out a role wherever he goes.

2021 Fantasy Outlook
The runway is clear for Dixon to take over after three years behind Travis Etienne. Or so it seems. Dixon struggled last season, running for a career-low 190 yards on 4.5 YPC. His first two years were impressive, though, with Dixon averaging 7.1 YPC and running for 11 scores. Chez Mellusi transferred, but it remains unlikely that Dixon will take on an Etienne-level workload with Clemson having depth like Kobe Pace and five-star frosh Will Shipley. Dixon should be RB1 for an elite offense, but the Tigers project to make use of their depth more than in recent years.
