ANALYSIS
Gerber will move on to his third school after opening his collegiate career in 2017 at Tyler Junior College in Texas before joining Texas Tech as a preferred walk-on last season. Since he didn't see any game action with the Red Raiders in 2018, he'll be able to use his redshirt and will have three years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2019. If Gerber, who set the Texas single-season high school record with 77 touchdown passes as a senior in 2016, fares well at West Texas A&M, he could explore a return to the FBS ranks down the road.
