Struggles in first start
Staub was 19-for-35 passing for 204 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Friday's 36-20 loss to Houston. He also had 11 rushes for 36 yards.
ANALYSIS
Staub drew his first start of the season Friday and did not exactly firmly establish himself in that role based on his performance. He threw for over 200 yards and tossed a touchdown, but he threw two interceptions and fumbled twice, although both fumbles were recovered by his team. He was the only Buffaloes' quarterback to play in the game which may be a sign that he will keep the job for now and try to get in rhythm with the offense.
