Bolden was once Purdue's top running back, but knee injuries have lessened his abilities, and the emergence of other Boilermaker runners has Bolden's value pointed sharply downward at this point. Akeem Shavers and Akeem Hunt are gaining ground in the Purdue running back rotation, so Bolden's total of 674 yards (4.6 YPC) and six touchdowns from a year ago might be the best-case scenario for him in 2012. He's still worth a later pick in Big Ten-only leagues, though.
Bolden has had well over a year to recover from the ACL tear he suffered in the spring of 2010, so he should have little trouble reclaiming the feature back role in Purdue's offense. The offense will look a bit different than it did in 2009, however, as the team's probable starter is Rob Henry, a dual-threat quarterback. Still, Bolden should get plenty of work and should be a solid play when he has favorable matchups.
Bolden suffered an ACL tear in the spring and his status for this year is in doubt. Purdue won't rule him out, but don't build your fantasy plans around him at all.
