Ricky Smalling

The leading receiver from the Illini corps to return from last season, Smalling managed just 2.6 receptions per game as part of a woeful offense that ranked fourth-worst in the FBS in points per game (15.4). Terrible quarterbacking played a part in his 510 receiving yards topping the stat book, but things don't look much better with a group of inexperienced signal-callers aiming to win the starting gig in 2018. Smalling may prove the best of the bunch at wideout again this season, but it may not boost him on to the fantasy radar in many leagues with underwhelming candidates at quarterback again.
