Bangura came from relative obscurity in terms of previous production to turn in one of the better fantasy seasons at the running back position last year. In addition to serving as the team's workhorse on the ground, logging 222 carries for 1,078 yards and 13 touchdowns, he was a frequent contributor in the passing game as well, drawing 43 targets and turning them into 27 catches for 226 yards and a pair of scores. ANALYSIS
Bangura will join a Minnesota team that already rosters excellent running backs like Darius Taylor and Jordan Nubin, each of whom logged more than 500 rushing yards and at least three touchdowns during 2023. However, the Ohio transfer has legitimate reasoning to be confident overtaking both players. Bangura already logged two seasons during which he recorded at least 900 scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns. So even with Taylor and Nubin as fierce competition, it should not be surprising if Bangura is elevated to Minnesota's primary option at running back.
