McMillian rejuvenated his career by transferring to Colorado. He finished the year with 1009 yards, topping the 1000 yard mark for the first time since his freshman year at Virginia Tech. While he started off hot, rushing for at least 100 yards in four of his first five games, he failed to reach that mark in his final four games as Colorado ended the year on a seven-game losing streak.
