Tristan Gebbia

Although Gebbia was recruited by former coach Pat Riley as a pro-style quarterback, he indicated early in the spring that he's exerted significant effort toward improving his mobility to better fit first-year coach Scott Frost's system. Gebbia posted an impressive showing in spring and remains in contention with true freshman Adrian Martinez for the starting job in a battle that could last deep into fall camp. Gebbia's extra year in Lincoln likely won't give him an edge, but the transfer Patrick O'Brien removes one challenger from the competition. Should he win the job, the redshirt freshman will be flanked by a pair of talented wide receivers in Stanley Morgan and JD Spielman.
