Duminy will miss South Africa's limited-overs tour of Australia as well as the inaugural season of the Mzansi Super League, The ICC reports.
ANALYSIS
Duminy's injury hurts both the Proteas and the domestic cricket board, who had recently named him the marquee player for the Cape Town Blitz. The injury was an aggravation of an existing shoulder injury and leaves South Africa without another experienced player, as Duminy's notched 192 ODI caps, joining Hashim Amla on the training table. It's unclear how long Duminy will be out for, but the next limited-overs engagement for the Proteas comes on 19 January, 2019 to kick off a five-match ODI series with Pakistan.
