Senanayake made his first appearance of the World Cup on Sunday, opening the bowling and finishing wicketless, while conceding 59 runs off his nine overs. He also contributed seven runs off eight balls in the second innings.

ANALYSIS
With Australia smashing the Sri Lankan bowlers all over the park, Senanayake's economy rate of 6.55 was actually pretty good when compared to some of his countrymen. It's now been four ODIs since he last took a wicket, but until Rangana Herath (finger) returns, Sri Lanka will need his spin bowling.
