SONSTAR joins former GIANTS teammate Smittyj in free agency after the duo was released on Friday. Both moves come as bit of a surprise considering GIANTS were able to earn a playoff spot, but given that they didn't manage to advance past the quarterfinals, it's clear the team wanted a change. Given his play over recent years, SONSTAR should still have an opportunity to return to the LCS if he desires, but he also could opt to return to his home country, South Korea, and play for another team in the LCK. All cards appear to be on the table for the ADC, but more information should trickle out regarding his status after the World Championship.
