Redding has been a model of consistency throughout his 12-year career, producing at last 30 tackles in 10 of the last 11 seasons. After contributing sporadic sacks in his first five campaigns, his total has ranged from two to 4.5 per season in the interim. Considering his track record, the Cardinals handed Redding a two-year deal in the offseason, with the expectation that he would spell holdover Frostee Rucker at defensive end.
Redding is a solid run defender and added 4.5 sacks last season. He's not spectacular in any area and doesn't put up significant fantasy stats, but he's a productive underrated player in Indy's 3-4 defense.
Redding will start at defensive end in the Colts' 3-4 defense. In his first season with the team, he recorded two sacks and batted down four passes.
Redding will start at defensive end in Indy's new 3-4 scheme and be a key defender against the run.
He isn't a one-man wrecking crew, but Redding had a solid showing last season with 42 tackles, three of which were sacks. He is still the starter in Baltimore, so one should expect similar numbers.
Redding will compete with veteran Trevor Pryce for the starting defensive end spot in the Ravens' 3-4 defense. The two could very likely rotate, making neither very good fantasy options at a position that isn't very productive to begin with.
Redding comes to Seattle in a trade for Julian Peterson, which pretty much assures him a starting assignment. He adds size to the interior line, which struggled to keep offensive linemen off the linebackers last season.
Redding will start at tackle this season.
The Lions made Redding their franchise player, and he signed a seven-year deal just before the deadline. He had a great year in 2006, posting eight sacks. The Lions will be counting on him to get pressure on the quarterback from the middle, and if he can continue to notch high sack totals, he will be worth a look as an IDP.
Will provide depth along the front four.
