Dee Alford

Dee Alford

27-Year-Old CornerbackCB
Atlanta Falcons
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Alford began the offseason as a restricted free agent, but the Falcons opted not to tender him, allowing him to test the market. The undrafted CB out of Tusculum was coming off a career-high season in which he was a regular starter in the slot for the first time in his career. Despite the productive campaign, Alford didn't get what he was looking for in free agency and re-signed with Atlanta on a one-year deal to reprise the same role in 2025. Read Past Outlooks

Minimal role in Week 7

October 21, 2025
Alford recorded one tackle (one solo) during Sunday's 20-10 loss at San Francisco.
ANALYSIS
The 49ers ran the ball on 59 percent of their offensive snaps in Week 7, so Alford was only on the field for 22 plays on defense, limiting his opportunities. With a pass-dependent Dolphins attack on tap for Week 8, Alford is set up nicely for a bounce-back game.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
A 2022 UDFA, Alford is working as the Falcons' top slot CB in 2024 with Mike Hughes moving outside. Alford also has punt-return experience but likely wouldn't be a primary return man if he's operating as a starter on defense.
A 2019 undrafted product out of Tusculum, Alford finally got an NFL opportunity in 2022 and made the most of it by carving out a rotational role following multiple injuries to Atlanta's secondary. He recorded 25 tackles, seven pass defenses, one interception and 0.5 sacks in 16 appearances (238 defensive snaps), but Alford will be competing for a roster spot again after the Falcons added numerous talented players to its CB corps this offseason.

Pushing for starting role
CBAtlanta Falcons
July 2, 2023
Alford has worked ahead of Mike Hughes as the Falcons' primary nickel corner throughout OTAs, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Alford has impressed the coaching staff and appears to be running ahead of Hughes, who signed with the Falcons in free agency after being part of a porous Lions secondary in 2022. Atlanta's coaching staff has praised Alford's progress, and the former CFL player is poised for a bigger role after racking up 25 tackles, one interception and seven passes defensed as a reserve for the Falcons in his first NFL campaign last year.
