Donovan Edwards News: Fails to make Jets roster

Edwards was waived Tuesday, Randy Lange and Eric Allen of the Jets' official site report.

Edwards had a productive preseason, but the rookie out of Michigan failed to win a roster spot in a Jets backfield that consists of Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, Isaiah Davis (ankle) and Kene Nwangwu heading into the regular season. Assuming Edwards passes through waivers unclaimed, he's likely to end up on the Jets' practice squad.
