ANALYSIS
This move comes as a bit of a surprise given Schlesinger's reputation and the two-year contract he signed in the offseason, but Miami has confidence in 2007 sixth-round draftee Reagan Mauia to fill the position.

A premier lead blocker, Schlesinger will open holes for Ronnie Brown but won't be of much fantasy value on his own. He hasn't caught more than 10 passes in a season since 2003.
Schlesinger begins his 12th season in the NFL, all with the Lions. He still considered among the best lead blockers in the league. He has no fantasy significance himself, but Kevin Jones owners will be happy Schlesinger is around.
Schles is a mammoth and will continue to blow up linebackers defensive backs to clear holes for Kevin Jones. His value to the Lions is great; his value to fantasy players is non-existant.
Schlesinger doesn't offer much, if any, fantasy value aside from the fact that he has paved the for a Lions 1,000-yard rusher in two of the past three years.
In 2002, Schlesinger had 49 rushes for 139 yards and two TDs, while adding 35 receptions for 263 yards. Which means that if your league does not have a separate designation for fullbacks, Schlesinger does not have any fantasy value.
