Cason will have a tough job making the roster with Maurice Morris and 2009 draft pick ahead of him on the depth chart. Cason's value to the Lions would come in the return game should he make the 53-man roster.
Cason is a long-shot to get many carries out of the Lions backfield, but could see some time as a returner.
Enters training camp buried on the depth chart behind Kevin Jones, Tatum Bell, T.J. Duckett, Brian Calhoun and perhaps Shawn Bryson.
Depth guy at RB for the Rams.
Third down scat-back type and return man, but without an established starting RB in Dallas he has an outside chance to put up OK fantasy numbers, especially if Bill Parcells mistakes him for Dave Meggett.
