The Chiefs released Goff (shoulder) on Wednesday, Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Goff started the first seven games at right guard last season before being placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. The Chiefs' offensive line was one of the league's worst last year, and it will undergo another reshuffling this offseason.

Goff is a model of consistency, missing a total of just three games in the last nine seasons. The Chiefs signed him this offseason to bring stability and veteran leadership to the offensive line. He’ll step in as the starting right guard immediately.
