Brian Williams

Williams moves back to corner after one year playing safety in Jacksonville. The move, initiated by the signing of Sean Considine to play the SS spot, means that Williams' tackle numbers will greatly decrease, though his INT numbers should rise while playing on the corner. While Williams may not have the type of INT numbers he saw when Rashean Mathis was a top-5 corner a few years ago, he should still pick up a healthy share of picks playing at corner.

Williams will be moved to safety for the 2008 season, and could rack up tackles while doing so.

Williams made a nice transition from Minnesota to Jacksonville in 2006, racking up 56 tackles opposite star corner Rashean Mathis. While his INT numbers (only one in 2006) leave a bit to be desired, teams are slowly starting to throw away from Mathis and towards Williams, which could mean more INT opportunities in 2007.
