McClure signed a one-year deal with the Falcons on Tuesday, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

ANALYSIS
Last season, McClure had a base salary of $1.7 million, but this year's salary figure was not yet released. McClure has been a staple of the Falcons' offensive year over the years, and his heir apparent, Joe Hawley, struggled to keep pressure from Matt Ryan last season when McClure was sidelined with injuries. McClure is projected to to be the starting center when the season opens.

McClure will start at center for the Falcons in 2012, but the Falcons drafted Peter Konz in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft with the intention of grooming him to become their center down the road. McClure, the 14-year veteran, will anchor the starting center job barring an injury.
