RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for David Pollack.
Will sit out all of 2007 with a broken neck.
Bigger things are expected from Pollack in his sophomore campaign, after a contract holdout and nagging injuries derailed much of his rookie season. Pollack has the inside track on the starting strongside linebacker position, and will be looked upon to be one of the Bengals main pass rushers.
Pollack was the Bengals' first round pick in 2005, and was expected to dramatically increase their pass rush from the linebacker position. He is currently holding out and has lost his starting spot to Landon Johnson. When the holdout ends he will likely get plenty of field time, but his conversion from college defensie end to NFL linebacker will likely be hindered by his missing a big chunk of training camp.
