Seward is fighting to win a spot on the Jaguars' 53 man roster after signing a contract with Jacksonville in August 2009.
Seward's only impact in Carolina figures to be on special teams, as there are two other reserves ahead of him in the pecking order for playing time behind the team's trio of starters.
Seward rebounded from an injury-shortened 2005 and to start twice and earn playing time in all 16 games last year. However, it looks like the only way he will earn steady playing time in 2007 is if there a rash of injuries in the Panthers' linebacking core.
