ANALYSIS
After Carriker missed the majority of the past two seasons due to issues with his quad, the investment in the defensive tackle clearly wasn't worth it for Redskins. The soon-to-be 30-year-old will likely have to prove his health, before another contract is extended his way.

Missed 2012 with a quad injury. He will undergo a third operation on the leg and will miss most if not all of 2013.
Backup defensive tackle/end.
Traded during the draft to the Redskins. He missed all of 2009 with a shoulder injury and will be competing for playing time on the defensive line.
Carriker will once again team with Clifton Ryan to man the two defensive tackle spots heading into 2009. Both players are young and talented and both could finally reach their potential with a better coaching staff in St. Louis and upgrades at several other spots on the defensive side of the ball.
Carriker will resume his duties as the Rams' starting left defensive tackle and with a full year under his belt, as well as a powerful, healthy group of defensive ends, should begin to become a real force in the middle.
Should begin the season as one of the club's two starting defensive tackles alongside La'Roi Glover.
