Piscitelli agreed to terms on an undisclosed deal with Kansas City, the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The former second-round draft pick has played 50 career games with 20 starts for the Buccaneers and Browns. It is hard to see Piscitelli having any IDP impact this season, as his signing appears to be a move to add depth behind Pro Bowl strong safety Eric Berry. If he gets an opportunity to play at free safety he will still have to fight for tackles with Berry and inside linebacker Derrick Johnson, making him at best a fringe IDP option.

Piscitelli will be a reserve strong safety if he is able to make the roster.
Piscitelli, the Buccaneers starter at strong safety in 2009, may loose his job in 2010 to newcomer Sean Jones unless he really shines in training camp and pre-season.
Piscitelli will have an expanded role for the Buccaneers in 2009 as he is expected to be the full-time starter at SS as former starter Jermaine Phillips is moving to LB. Piscitelli is seen by the team as a good fit in their new man-to-man defense that stresses more aggressive play by the secondary. Piscitelli does have a track record of solid play at SS as he has filled in capably in past seasons when Phillips has been hurt.
Missed most of 2007 with a broken foot; could emerge as the top reserve at both safety spots.
Hits very, very hard, but may be too short as a safety in the NFL and too small as a linebacker. Still, he'll compete for a reserve slash special teams slash bell-ringer role.
