Dexter Jackson

Will have to prove that he can be an impact player in order to keep a roster spot this year.

Jackson, a second round pick of the team in 2008, had a very disappointing rookie season- to the point that he is not even guaranteed a spot on the 2009 team. Not only did Jackson not catch a pass as a rookie, but he fizzled as a return man last year as he only averaged 4.9 yards per pint return. And while he did average 23.3 yards per kick return he had fumbling problems. Jackson is now behind Pro-Bowler Clifton Smith on the returner depth chart and needs to do some work to move up the WR depth chart.

Tampa Bay selected Jackson in the second round of the draft, and he's got a great chance to win either a starting or third receiver role. What Jackson lacks in height he makes up for with tremendous speed and quickness. He's elusive with the ball in his hands, and can help the Bucs as both as a slot receiver and as a return man. Jackson suffered a hamstring strain in rookie camp but was expected to be ready for training camp.
