Proving himself capable of starting in a pinch, Humber had 50 tackles (38 solo) and a sack in 15 games in 2014 for the Saints. Despite the offseason release of Curtis Lofton, Humber will likely once again be relegated to a backup inside linebacker role, with David Hawthorne, Dannell Ellerbe, and 2015 first round draft pick Stephone Anthony all ahead of him on the depth chart.
Humber will serve as a backup linebacker and contribute on special teams for the Saints. In a similar role in 2013, Humber made 29 tackles in 16 games.
Humber will serve as a backup inside linebacker in the Saints' new 3-4 defense. He holds little fantasy value, absent injuries, as most of his contributions will come on special teams.
Humber will back up Curtis Lofton at middle linebacker, but he is expected to miss the first three games of the season due to a suspension.
