RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Jermon Bushrod.
Bushrod is slated to serve as the Bearsí left tackle for the third consecutive season. The two-time Pro Bowler isnít quite the same player he was during his prime years with the Saints, but since arriving in Chicago in March 2013 on a five-year, $35 million deal, heís still helped solidify a long-term trouble spot for the Bears. A back injury prevented Bushrod from taking part in minicamp, but heís generally expected to be healthy for the start of the 2015 campaign.
A prized free agent signing a season ago, Bushrod did a commendable job of protecting quarterback Jay Cutler's blind side in his first year in Chicago and will be tasked with doing so again in 2014.
Signed to a five-year, $35.9 million contract in the offseason (the richest in club history for an offensive lineman), Bushrod will be counted on to man left tackle and keep Jay Cutler upright.
Bushrod is expected to start at tackle for the Saints.
Bushrod will start at left tackle for the Saints.
With the trade of Jammal Brown to Washington this offseason, Bushrod will again start at left tackle.
