Ramirez has operated throughout camp as Detroit's starting LG, holding off 2015 first-round pick Laken Tomlinson. Whether as a starter or interior backup, Ramirez will be counted on to provide a very young Lions offensive line with some leadership.
Ramirez went into last season as a depth offensive lineman, but ended up starting at center after J.D. Walton and Dan Koppen went down with injuries. Ramirez performed excellently, and he'll return to the starting role in 2014.
