Abdul-Quddus (shoulder) will be waived by the Dolphins due to a failed physical, Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Abdul-Quddus suffered nerve damage in his neck and shoulder prior to being placed on injured reserve in December. At this point it is unclear if he'll ever play again. Neck injuries are not taken lightly and he'll have to make a full recovery in order for teams to look at signing the safety. Miami may need to prioritize the safety position in free agency and the draft now that the team will be without Abdul-Quddus, who was second with 78 tackles in 2016.

Abdul-Quddus was signed as a free agent to take over the free safety position for Miami. He had his best season to date with Detroit in 2015 with 57 tackles but big plays were few and far between. The Dolphins defense could be one of the leagues best if the secondary can do it's part and if Abdul-Quddus can continue to improve.
