Lattimore (nose) was released by the Bills on Sunday, Joe Buscaglia of WKBW reports.

ANALYSIS
The Bills opted to part ways with Lattimore to make room for recently acquired fullback Dan Vitale. Lattimore last played for the Jets in 2015.

After a 2014 campaign with the Packers in which he finished with 39 tackles, one pass defensed, and one interception in 11 games, Lattimore will add depth to the Jets' inside linebacker corps in 2015.

Lattimore started four games last season while Brad Jones was injured and did alright for himself, totaling 23 tackles (16 solo) and two sacks on those occasions. He added another 12 stops on defense and special teams throughout the season and reportedly impressed during OTA's this summer. As such, Lattimore could see an increased snap count even if Jones remains healthy this year.

Lattimore will battle for playing time and a roster spot at inside linebacker in training camp.

Lattimore will provide depth for the linebacker unit in 2012.
