The 27-year-old tight end projects to battle Temarrick Hemingway for the third spot on the tight end depth chart with Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett occupying the top-two slots. Harkey hasn't caught a pass since the 2015 campaign, and he's mainly been used as a blocker during his career, so his fantasy prospects are bleak.

With Jared Cook gone, Harkey should play a larger role in the offense, as the Rams love two-TE sets. He only had five catches for 26 yards last season and is primarily a blocker, but should see at least a minor spike in production in 2016. Whoever's behind center will likely look for Harkey in the red zone, as at 6-foot-4, 259 pounds, he's easily the team's biggest target.

Despite serving mostly as a blocker, the Rams' third tight end recorded three touchdowns in the past two seasons, and could see an occasional red zone target again in 2015. He will never threaten Lance Kendricks or Jared Cook for receptions at the tight end spot, but he is the best blocking tight end on a team that loves two-tight end sets, and he'll pick up a catch once in a while.

With the Rams using a lot of two-tight end sets, Harkey sees a lot more time than he would on most teams as the third tight end. He's primarily used as a blocker, but did catch three touchdowns in 2013.

Harkey only had one catch in 2012, and with the Rams bringing in Jared Cook to join incumbent starter Lance Kendricks, won't add to those totals much.
