ANALYSIS

After hauling in 51 receptions as a rookie, Sanders took a step back in 2014, catching just six passes for 55 yards. In fact, he was suspended for the first four games of the season, causing him to fall behind Cecil Shorts, Marqise Lee, Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns on the depth chart. Sanders, who was Jacksonville’s primary punt returner, will enter 2015 fighting for a roster spot elsewhere after having been cut by the Jags in July.

Sanders headed into training camp as a candidate to serve as the Jaguars' No. 2 receiver, but a four-game suspension to start the season has derailed that possibility out of the gate. In any case, the gig wasn't viewed as a fantasy goldmine, given the likelihood of Chad Henne starting the season under center while third overall pick Blake Bortles learns the ropes. Moreover, with two second-round picks (Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson) also in the mix and a 5-8 frame better suited to being a return man or slot option, the second-year player will be in a tough battle to reclaim much fantasy value upon his return.

Sanders, a fourth-round pick by the Jaguars, will compete for a roster spot in training camp but should catch on in the return game due to his fearlessness in the open field.
