Two stops in finale
DTChicago Bears
January 9, 2022
Hunt tallied two stops in the Bears' 31-17 Week 18 loss to the Vikings, and he ended the season with 14 tackles in 10 games.
ANALYSIS
Hunt played in a rotational role for the Bears over the last seven games of the season, but he averaged fewer than 1.5 tackles per game while not recording a sack. He'll be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but he's recorded just one sack since 2018 as he goes into his age-35 season. It's unlikely he'll be a significant factor in 2022 IDP leagues.

Hunt is entering his second season with the Colts after logging 36 defensive snaps per game in 2017. He made 29 tackles and one sack in that time, but he'll likely regress after the Colts drafted Kemoko Turay and shifted Jabaal Sheard to defensive end. Hunt shouldn't be on fantasy draft boards.
Hunt has been a disappointment in the league since the Bengals selected him in the second round of the 2013 draft, but he emerged as a serviceable run defender this past season, albeit in a limited role. Now in Indy, he merely projects to serve as depth along the defensive line.
Hunt failed to see significant playing time during his rookie campaign last season, but should be more involved in Year Two. With Michael Johnson departing in free agency, Hunt figures to be afforded more snaps at defensive end, although his development is still at an early stage.
A second-round selection this year, Hunt is an absolutely astounding athlete in terms of size, strength, and speed. Given the Bengals' depth along the defensive line, Hunt likely won't see enough snaps to warrant significant fantasy value, but he is certainly a player to keep an eye on moving forward.
