$Signed a one-year, $600,000 contract with the Jets in January of 2016.
Doesn't receive RFA tender
TEFree Agent
March 14, 2017
The Jets chose not to tender Bostick, making him an unrestricted free agent, the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
The lowest restricted free-agent tender still costs $1.8 million, which is significantly more than the type of near minimum contract Bostick will likely receive. He caught only eight passes in 16 games last season, serving mostly as the No. 2 or 3 tight end. Regardless of where he lands, the 27-year-old likely will have to fight for a roster spot in training camp.

Bostick signed with Minnesota after his career in Green Bay ended in infamous fashion after he misplayed a key on-side kick to help the Packers lose the NFC championship game. With the Vikings, he'll compete for a reserve tight end role. He's unlikely to win a large role on offense as he has just nine career catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns in 24 games over the past two seasons in Green Bay's strong passing offense.
With Jermichael Finley (neck) seemingly out of the picture, the Packers' tight end competition is wide open. Although Andrew Quarless is Green Bay's most proven option, Bostick should compete with the likes of Ryan Taylor, Richard Rodgers, and Colt Lyerla to fill out the position's depth chart. In 11 games last season, Bostick totaled seven receptions on 15 targets for 120 yards and one touchdown.
