Bernard Reedy

"Speedy Reedy" couldn't parlay his familiarity with several of the Bucs coaches from his Atlanta Falcons days into a spot on the active roster last summer, but he was signed to the practice squad on December 6 and promoted to the 53-man on December 21. Reedy flashed some of his versatility in the 2016 preseason by working at both returner spots in addition to receiver in multiple contests. He's likely to be deployed in similar manner in the upcoming exhibition slate, but remains a long shot to latch on to a roster spot with the likes of Donteea Dye, Josh Huff and Freddie Martino all vying for the same jobs as Reedy.

Reedy boasts impressive speed and has familiarity with several Bucs coaches including head man Dirk Koetter, both factors which helped him land him an opportunity to claim one of the Bucs' reserve receiver spots. The 24-year-old is currently auditioning for the open punt returner job as well, which could be integral to him eventually surviving final cuts. Although the team has already settled on Adam Humphries as its third receiver, Reedy has an opportunity to nab a slot at the end of the depth chart, but doesn't figure to have much fantasy relevance this season barring injuries to those in front of him. He could, however, carry some value in leagues that count return yards if he manages to lock up the aforementioned punt return role.

Should he make the 53-man roster, Reedy will provide depth at wide receiver and could see some work on special teams.
