Juston Burris

Burris enjoyed his highest involvement upon joining the Panthers last season, finishing with 53 tackles and an interception in 13 games. That included 12 starts, and Burris is expected to retain his first-team position alongside Jeremy Chinn this term, raising expectations compared to years prior.

Fresh off a career-best 32 tackles, seven passes defended and two interceptions in 14 games last year, Burris penned a two-year contract with the Panthers this offseason. In Carolina, the 27-year-old will hope to establish himself within a safety group that includes longtime Panther Tre Boston and dynamic rookie second-rounder Jeremy Chinn. While Chinn is surely envisioned as the team's long-term starter at strong safety, his size and versatility could enable Burris to see the field at the same time, and Chinn's inexperience could afford Burris more snaps early on.
